Description
Designed for on-site condition monitoring, the ERASPEC Oil Lubricant Monitor (EO10) is a portable FTIR analyzer from eralytics GmbH. The unit measures 29 x 35 x 34 cm, providing a laboratory-grade infrared analysis capability in field environments. It is used to evaluate lubricant health by tracking degradation, monitoring additive depletion, and detecting contaminants such as glycol, diesel fuel, soot, and water. Analysis methods include direct trending and spectral subtraction, and the device operates in accordance with ASTM, DIN, and JOAP protocols. It can also be configured for diesel fuel analysis. A patented interferometer design enables high-speed measurements, allowing for the assessment of key parameters like Total Base Number (TBN) and extrapolated Total Acid Number (TAN) within seconds.
