Description

The ERASPEC FTIR Fuel Analyzer, model ES10 from eralytics GmbH, is a compact Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer for fuel analysis. This instrument performs rapid compositional assessment of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and biofuels. Using mid-infrared spectroscopy, it can determine over 40 distinct fuel parameters in approximately one minute. Its dimensions are 29 cm wide by 35 cm deep by 34 cm high, facilitating use in both fixed laboratory and mobile settings. Analytical capabilities include measuring oxygenate content, determining complex properties such as Research Octane Number (RON) and Motor Octane Number (MON), and assessing distillation characteristics. The system incorporates a pre-installed and expandable spectral database, a multi-cell design, and an integrated high-precision density meter that complies with ASTM D4052. It supports standard test methods including ASTM D5845, D6277, D7806, and E2412. An optional near-infrared (NIR) partial least squares (PLS) calibration model is available to improve the accuracy of octane number measurements.
