Description
The ERAOIL is a self-contained spectrometer for elemental analysis using Rotating Disc Electrode Optical Emission Spectroscopy (RDE-OES). It is configured for the rapid detection of wear metals, additives, and contaminants in various operational fluids. From a 2 mL sample, the system can measure up to 32 different elements in an analysis cycle lasting about 30 seconds. Applicable fluids include lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids, fuels such as gas turbine, diesel, and heavy fuel oil (HFO), as well as coolants, process water, and greases. The instrument complies with standard test methods including ASTM D6595 for lubricating oils and ASTM D6728 for fuels. It incorporates a high-end CMOS detector and automatic background correction, achieving detection limits at sub-parts-per-million levels for many elements. The unit is fully integrated, featuring a built-in PC, a touchscreen interface, an electrode sharpener, and a ventilation system, all housed in a compact enclosure measuring 36 cm wide, 66 cm deep, and 69 cm high.
