ZSX Primus IV Tube-above WDXRF Spectrometer
Manufacturer: Rigaku Corporation
SKU: ZSX Primus IV
Description
Rigaku's ZSX Primus IV is a sequential wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) spectrometer featuring a tube-above optical design. This configuration minimizes the risk of dust and debris contaminating sensitive optical components, promoting analytical stability and reducing maintenance needs. The instrument provides quantitative analysis of elements ranging from beryllium (Be) to uranium (U) across diverse sample types, often requiring minimal use of calibration standards. It is equipped with a high-power X-ray tube (3 kW or 4 kW, rhodium anode) and utilizes a scintillation counter for heavy elements and a flow proportional counter for light elements, with an automatic attenuator. Analytical capabilities include micro-analysis for spots as small as 500 micrometers and mapping functions to assess elemental distribution. A permanent helium seal maintains the optical path under vacuum, and the system employs a digital multi-channel analyzer (D-MCA). The ZSX Guidance expert software provides an interface for method development, while an EZ Analysis mode is available for routine operations. The spectrometer is designed with a compact footprint to conserve laboratory space.
