Description

The Zetasizer Pro is a particle size analyzer that also measures electrophoretic mobility and zeta potential. It is positioned as a versatile, mid-range system for nanoparticle and biomolecular characterization. The instrument utilizes Non-Invasive Back-Scatter (NIBS) optics, which enhance sensitivity and allow for size measurements across a broad dynamic range from 0.3 nm to 10 µm in diameter. For zeta potential analysis, it employs Mixed-Mode Measurement-Phase Analysis Light Scattering (M3-PALS) with a constant current mode. A reported feature is the acceleration of size measurements, potentially up to three times faster than previous instrument generations. The system requires a sample volume of 12 microliters. It includes the ZS Xplorer software for method setup and data analysis, an Adaptive Correlation algorithm for improved measurement reproducibility, and a deep learning-based data quality assessment system. Additional hardware features include an optical filter wheel with a fluorescence filter for analyzing fluorescent samples and polarization filters for depolarized dynamic light scattering (DDLS) measurements. The instrument's dimensions are 322 x 565 x 245 mm (WxDxH).
