Zetasizer Lab Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyzer
Manufacturer: Malvern Panalytical
SKU: Zetasizer Lab
Description
The Zetasizer Lab is a particle size and zeta potential analyzer designed as an entry-level instrument within the Malvern Panalytical range. It performs dynamic light scattering (DLS) for particle sizing from 0.3 nanometers to 10 micrometers and electrophoretic light scattering for zeta potential analysis. A key feature is its use of a 90-degree side-scatter optical configuration. The system incorporates technologies such as Adaptive Correlation for faster measurements and M3-PALS with constant current mode for zeta potential determination. A minimum sample volume of 20 microliters is required, though this can be reduced to 3 µL using an optional low-volume disposable capillary cell. The instrument is offered in two variants: a Blue Label version optimized for routine samples like metallic colloids and pigments, and a Red Label version tailored for more challenging applications such as protein or surfactant solutions. The physical dimensions are 322 mm wide by 565 mm deep by 245 mm high. Notably, the hardware platform is designed to be upgradeable on-site to either the Zetasizer Pro or Zetasizer Ultra models.
