XtaLAB Synergy-S Single or Dual Microfocus X-ray Diffractometer

Description

Rigaku's XtaLAB Synergy-S is a single-crystal X-ray diffractometer built around the PhotonJet-S series of microfocus X-ray sources. These sources feature continuously variable divergence slits and are engineered to maximize photon flux at the sample position through updated optics, extended-life X-ray tubes, and an improved alignment mechanism. The sources are available in copper, molybdenum, or silver wavelengths and can be configured as a single or dual-source system. The instrument incorporates a kappa goniometer with high-speed motors and a unique telescopic two-theta arm, providing flexibility in adjusting the crystal-to-detector distance. For detection, users can select from several Hybrid Photon Counting (HPC) detectors, including the HyPix-6000HE, PILATUS3 R 200K, PILATUS3 R 300K, or EIGER 1M. System features include an enhanced goniometer design for symmetrical two-theta positioning, a cabinet design intended to improve user workflow, and electronically controlled lighting. The combination of high source intensity, a noise-free detector, and fast goniometer motion is designed to enable agile experiments. The variable divergence slits aid in resolving reflections from crystals with long unit cells, while the extended tube lifetime and integrated diagnostics aim to reduce instrument downtime.
