Labconco's XL Floor-Mounted Laboratory Hood is a large-scale fume containment workspace, also known as a walk-in hood. It is engineered to handle laboratory procedures involving oversized apparatus or those requiring significant vertical clearance. Available in multiple widths ranging from 4 to 16 feet, this hood features a substantial 37.7-inch depth. Units equipped with vertical-rising sashes are designed as low-velocity, high-performance hoods, meeting the SEFA-1 standard and capable of operating safely at face velocities as low as 60 feet per minute. For applications demanding maximum loading height, models with horizontal-sliding sashes provide an interior loading height of 73.5 inches. This configuration is suitable for accommodating tall distillation racks, extraction setups, or large industrial drums, offering both user protection and ample workspace.
