Description

Hiden Isochema's XEMIS-002 gravimetric sorption analyzer is configured for specialized research involving volatile organic compounds and hazardous gases. This instrument performs precise mass change measurements to characterize how materials interact with gases and vapors under varying pressure and temperature. Its primary applications include the study of VOC filtration media, materials for thermochemical energy storage, and systems for the storage and separation of toxic gases. The analyzer supports sample weights between 1 mg and 5 g. It operates within a temperature range from 77 K to 500 °C and can sustain pressures up to 170 bar, with an optional 200 bar capability. The system incorporates active pressure control across a wide dynamic range, facilitating experiments from high vacuum to high pressure. A symmetric geometry reduces buoyancy effects, which is critical for obtaining reliable data at high pressures. The XEMIS-002 is built to handle challenging gas environments, including flammable, corrosive, and toxic species.
