Description

The xCELLigence RTCA CardioECR Instrument from Agilent Technologies integrates impedance-based monitoring with multi-electrode array (MEA) technology for comprehensive cardiomyocyte analysis. It simultaneously records cell-induced impedance fluctuations and field potentials, providing concurrent data on contractility, viability, and electrophysiology. This dual measurement offers detailed insight into cellular health and the mechanisms of drug-induced cardiac effects. Applications include preclinical safety assessment, cardiac drug screening, and basic research. The system also includes an electronic pacing function to promote the functional maturation of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cardiomyocytes, creating improved cell models for toxicity testing and disease research. It accommodates a single 48-well E-Plate and is designed for use inside a cell culture incubator. This instrument is for research use only.
