xCELLigence RTCA Cardio Instrument

Description

Agilent's xCELLigence RTCA Cardio Instrument is a cell analysis system for real-time, label-free monitoring of cardiomyocyte contractility. It is applied in preclinical cardiac safety assessment, drug screening, and basic research. The instrument detects the rhythmic impedance fluctuations caused by cardiomyocyte contraction and relaxation cycles on a millisecond scale. Changes in the periodicity and magnitude of these signals are tracked over time, from seconds to days, to assess cell viability and contractile function under various compound treatments. The system uses a single 96-well electronic microplate (E-Plate Cardio 96) placed inside a standard CO2 incubator. An external control unit and user-friendly software enable real-time data acquisition and analysis. This product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic procedures.
