The VMF Volatile Matter Furnace from Verder Scientific is a specialized instrument for determining the volatile matter content in coal and coke samples, conforming to standards such as BS ISO 562:2010 and ASTM D3175-20. It is capable of reaching a maximum operating temperature of 1000°C. The furnace design emphasizes rapid heating and efficient temperature recovery after sample loading to maintain consistent test conditions. A rear chimney and calibration ports are integrated into the chamber, allowing for the insertion of unsheathed thermocouples for calibration and verification purposes.
