Manufactured by Esco Technologies, Inc., the VIVA® Dual Access Animal Transfer Station (VDA) is a containment hood for procedures involving laboratory animals. This workstation is constructed to allow access from two sides and is designed to protect the operator during activities like cage changing. It maintains an inward airflow velocity of 0.15 meters per second (30 feet per minute) across the work opening. The unit is offered in two standard widths. The interior working space measures 43.3 or 55.3 inches in width, 18.3 inches in depth, and 22.2 inches in height. Corresponding exterior dimensions for the cabinet are 52.8 or 64.8 inches wide, 30.0 inches deep, with a height adjustable from 77.2 to 88.4 inches when mounted on its included stand.
