Description

The Vilber Bio Print CX4 is a gel documentation system designed for imaging nucleic acid gels and fluorescent samples. It incorporates a high-intensity UV pad specifically optimized for visualizing DNA and RNA in agarose gels. The system is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, which can be upgraded to a resolution of 7.6 megapixels for higher-detail imaging. Multiple illumination options are available, including ultraviolet light at wavelengths of 254 nm, 312 nm, and 365 nm, as well as blue light at 470 nm and white light for various staining and detection methods. This flexibility allows researchers to capture images of ethidium bromide-stained gels, SYBR Safe-stained DNA, and other fluorescently labeled biomolecules. As an automated gel imager, it streamlines the process of documenting electrophoresis results for analysis and publication.
