Versatile FT-IR gas analyzer MB3000-CH90
Manufacturer: ABB Analytical
SKU: MB3000-CH90
Description
The ABB Analytical MB3000-CH90 is a Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer configured for gas analysis. It is designed for research and development as well as quality assurance and control tasks, including verifying gas purity, monitoring gas mixtures, and identifying unknown components. The instrument operates across a spectral range from 800 to 5000 cm⁻¹. It employs a standard DTGS detector, with an optional liquid nitrogen-cooled MCT detector available for enhanced sensitivity. A key feature is its heatable, interchangeable gas cell, which allows users to select appropriate pathlengths for different applications, from trace-level detection to higher concentration measurements. The accompanying Horizon software supports analysis with both commercial and user-generated spectral libraries for compound identification. With external dimensions of 43.5 cm wide, 28 cm deep, and 37 cm high, the analyzer is a bench-top unit. ABB's manufacturing consistency facilitates the transfer of calibration models developed on this laboratory instrument to compatible process analyzers.
