Description

Verex Filter Vials, produced by Phenomenex, are integrated devices that combine sample filtration and vial storage into a single consumable item. Each vial assembly consists of two primary components: an external vial and an internal plunger. The plunger incorporates a filtration membrane and is topped with a cap fitted with a pre-slit PTFE/silicone septa. To use, a sample is dispensed into the external vial. The plunger is then depressed, forcing the liquid through the integrated filter and into the vial body, leaving particulates behind. This process yields a clarified sample ready for immediate instrumental analysis. The vials conform to a standard 12 x 32 mm format, making them compatible with common autosampler trays. This design streamlines sample preparation by eliminating the need for separate syringes, filter units, and collection vials.
