TurboVap® Automated Solvent Evaporators

Description

TurboVap Automated Solvent Evaporators are a family of benchtop or fume hood instruments from Biotage used for concentrating samples by nitrogen blowdown evaporation. These systems employ a patented vortex evaporation technique, which is reported to significantly increase evaporation rates compared to conventional methods. They are designed to handle a wide range of sample volumes, from 0.5 mL up to 200 mL, through the use of modular manifolds. The evaporators can operate at temperatures from ambient up to 90°C. Common applications include sample preparation for environmental and food safety testing, with specific methods for analyzing PFAS, pesticides, PCBs, PAHs, and mycotoxins. System configurations may include capabilities for automated rinsing of sample bottles and clog detection alerts. The instruments are used to process samples in various formats, including tubes and disks, facilitating workflow in analytical laboratories.
