Description

The TurboVap 96 Dual Plate Evaporator from Biotage is a benchtop system designed for solvent evaporation from samples in microplate formats. It features two independent evaporation chambers within a single unit, allowing users to process two plates simultaneously with either identical or different methods. The system is compatible with well plates conforming to the ANSI SLAS standard and can accommodate 24, 48, or 96 sample positions. Heating is provided from both the top (gas heater) and bottom (plate heater) to improve evaporation consistency and efficiency. The gas heater operates from ambient temperature to 65°C, while the plate heater can reach 80°C, both with a stated accuracy of ±2°C. This dual-heat approach is engineered to reduce overall evaporation time and inert gas consumption. The unit is specified for operation in environments with 20-90% relative humidity and an ambient temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
