Description
PCE Americas' LM-TC-DUAL is a coating thickness gauge that employs dual measurement principles. It uses magnetic induction to measure non-conductive coatings like paint, plastic, or rubber on ferrous (Fe) substrates, and the eddy current method for similar coatings on non-ferrous (nFE) metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass, in accordance with ISO 2178 and ISO 2360. A notable feature is its probe, which can swivel 90 degrees to facilitate measurements in confined spaces. The device has a compact, splash-proof (IP64) metal housing. It includes a wireless interface for connecting to Windows, iOS, and Android devices using the companion Lima Connect app, which allows for project management, graphical data analysis, and photo documentation of measurement points. The probe tip incorporates a wear-resistant ruby pole for durability.
