Description

The LM-FC240 from PCE Americas is a digital instrument designed to measure ferrite content in austenitic and duplex steels, complying with the DIN EN ISO 8249 standard. It utilizes a digital Hall-effect probe based on magnetic induction, with signal digitization occurring within the probe head to enhance accuracy and stability. The device measures a range from 0 to 40,000 A/cm, capable of handling very weak to strong magnetic fields, and can perform DC, AC, and pulse measurements. A scan function allows for continuous data capture over an area. It features a color touchscreen display (320 x 480 pixels) and offers multiple connectivity options, including a wireless interface for data transfer to Windows, iOS, and Android devices, as well as USB for power and SCPI remote control. The unit is supplied with three traceably calibrated standards and is powered by three AA batteries or an external USB source.
