Description
Designed for integration with Opentrons robotic platforms, the Thermocycler Module GEN2 automates PCR thermocycling directly on the deck. It accommodates standard 96-well plates, enabling hands-free reaction setup and thermal cycling within an automated workflow. The unit features a thermal block with a programmable range from 4°C to 99°C, achieving a heating rate of 4.25°C per second between ambient temperature and 95°C. A heated lid, which can reach 110°C, works in conjunction with a disposable seal to minimize sample evaporation. Control is facilitated through the Opentrons ecosystem, including the Protocol Designer interface and a Python API, allowing for custom protocol development. The module's compact dimensions are 172 mm wide by 244.95 mm deep by 170.35 mm high when closed.
