Description
The STAT-Site® WB analyzer is a handheld device designed for the quantitative measurement of glucose and ß-ketones (specifically Beta-Hydroxybutyrate) in whole blood. It accepts capillary or venous samples, requiring a minimal volume of 1 µl. The unit employs two distinct test strips, delivering glucose results in approximately five seconds and ß-ketone results in about ten seconds. This rapid analysis supports the management of diabetes, particularly in identifying and monitoring early ketosis. The device features a digital display, is CLIA-waived, and is intended for multi-patient use with an automatic strip ejection mechanism.
