Description

SpectraTest Validation Plates from Molecular Devices are specialized microplates used to verify the operational performance of microplate readers capable of absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence detection. They are particularly valuable in environments adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The product line includes distinct plates for different detection modes. The ABS1 plate assesses optical system sensitivity and checks for potential stray light interference. The FL1 fluorescence plate is used for photomultiplier tube matching to ensure signal linearity across a dynamic range and allows for adjustment of Relative Fluorescence Unit output. The LM1 luminescence plate enables tests for background noise, signal spikes, optical crosstalk between adjacent wells, and detection of any left-to-right measurement bias across the plate. Analysis is supported by preconfigured protocols in SoftMax Pro Software, which can automatically process and generate reports. The software also includes tools to help maintain compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, providing features for controlled access and audit trails for test results.
