SpectraMax iD3s and iD5e Multi-Mode Microplate Readers

Description

The SpectraMax iD3s and iD5e are multi-mode microplate readers offering scalable solutions for various detection methods. Both systems support absorbance, fluorescence (top and bottom read), luminescence (top and bottom read), time-resolved fluorescence, fluorescence polarization, and HTRF assays. The iD3s model provides a foundational platform with a tunable monochromator and temperature control. The iD5e expands on this with additional detection modes and can be upgraded for TR-FRET, HTRF, BRET, and western blot applications. A high-power xenon flash lamp serves as the light source, while detection is handled by a silicon photodiode and an ultra-cooled photomultiplier tube. Optional features include on-board fluidics with dual injectors, environmental control for CO2/O2, and advanced shaking modules for live-cell assays. Data acquisition and analysis are managed by SoftMax Pro software. The instruments also feature automatic filter identification via NFC, adjustable read height (Z-height) for optimal signal, and compatibility with micro-volume plates and cuvette adapters.
