Description

The Span Pac H2O System from KIN-TEK Analytical, Inc. is a calibration gas generator specifically designed for producing precise concentrations of water vapor. It operates on a differential principle, which is particularly advantageous when the background or diluent gas already contains a moisture level exceeding 10% of the minimum target concentration to be generated. The system introduces a known quantity of water vapor into a flowing stream of diluent gas using a certified Trace Source permeation tube. The calibration is based on the measured change in analyzer response caused by this addition, effectively overcoming challenges related to a non-zero background and the influence of the carrier gas on sensor response. The permeation tube's emission rate is factory-certified through gravimetric methods traceable to NIST, providing a reliable reference standard. The unit offers adjustable flow rates from 0.25 to 5.0 standard liters per minute. Its construction is designed to minimize errors from atmospheric contamination and material interactions within the system. The instrument has dimensions of 24 inches wide by 12 inches deep by 14 inches high.
