SP6800 Spectral Analyzer

Manufacturer: Sony Corporation

Description

The Sony SP6800 is a spectral flow cytometer designed for advanced cell analysis. It utilizes a multi-laser excitation system, with configurations available for two or three lasers operating at 405 nm, 488 nm, and 638 nm wavelengths. Detection is achieved through a 32-channel photomultiplier tube (PMT) array, allowing for the simultaneous measurement of a wide spectral range from each particle. A unique feature is the cell position XY technology, which can effectively double the analytical channels, enabling resolution of up to 64 distinct parameters. The system measures forward scatter (FSC) and side scatter (SSC) for basic morphological information. It is configured to accept samples from standard 5-mL tubes. This spectral analyzer is suited for complex immunophenotyping, fluorescence panel development, and other applications where the full emission spectrum of fluorescent labels provides critical data beyond traditional flow cytometry.
