Description

The Plas-Labs Series 830 comprises a line of compact glove boxes engineered to provide a contained, draft-free environment, which is particularly beneficial for use with sensitive analytical balances. These units are constructed to ensure high interior visibility, operator safety, and complete containment of materials. Available in multiple sizes approximately 2, 3, and 4 feet in length, the boxes come with varying numbers of glove ports (2, 3, or 4) and interior/exterior dimensions specific to each model. Primary applications include the safe handling and weighing of hazardous, toxic, or moisture-sensitive materials such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, light radioactive substances, asbestos fibers, and sewage residues. The design aims to minimize product degradation from atmospheric moisture. Standard features include a removable top section for equipment installation, stainless steel adjustable clamps, white Hypalon gloves, a leveling tray, multiple purging gas valves, a pressure relief valve, and replaceable HEPA and organic vapor filters. An optional transfer chamber is standard, with access doors available as an alternative. An optional HEPA filtration system (800 HEPA/S) can maintain a slight negative pressure within the chamber. The manufacturer notes these units are not recommended for use with aromatic hydrocarbons.
