SER 158 Automatic Solvent Extractor
Manufacturer: VELP Scientific, Inc.
SKU: SER 158/3 - SER 158/6
Description
The VELP SER 158 is an automated system designed for solid-liquid extraction, facilitating the determination of extractable matter from various sample types. It operates in compliance with several recognized international standards, including AOAC, ISO, EPA, APHA, and UNI. This unit is engineered to accelerate the extraction process significantly compared to traditional Soxhlet methods, largely due to its high-speed glass-ceramic heating plates that promote rapid solvent boiling. The system is available in configurations with either 3 or 6 sample positions, with a processing capacity ranging from 21 to 42 samples per day depending on the selected model. A key feature is its patented titanium condenser, which is reported to recover over 90% of the solvent for potential reuse, with collected solvent stored in a cooled recovery tank. For operational oversight, the device can be connected to the VELP Ermes cloud platform, allowing for remote monitoring and control of analyses. Physical dimensions vary by model, with width, depth, and height measurements provided for the different configurations.
