OHAUS's Scout STX series represents a line of portable balances that emphasize a modern user interface. The central feature is a 4.3-inch color touchscreen for intuitive operation and data viewing. These balances have a weighing pan size that varies by model from 90 x 170 mm to 140 x 170 mm. Capacity and readability options span from 120 g to 8200 g and 0.001 g to 1 g, respectively. The instruments are built with a robust overload protection system rated for up to ten times the stated capacity. Like the SPX series, they offer fast stabilization (approximately one second) and dual power from an AC adapter or batteries.
