SciVario® twin Fermenter/Bioreactor Control System
Manufacturer: Eppendorf North America
SKU: 7600100001
Description
The SciVario twin is a dual-vessel control system designed for benchtop bioreactor and fermenter applications. It enables simultaneous, independent operation of two vessels, which can be either traditional glass or single-use BioBLU types, accommodating working volumes from 0.2 to 3.8 liters. The system is engineered for microbial fermentation, cell culture, and stem cell research. Temperature regulation is managed via a control block for smaller vessels (0.7-1.8 L) or a heat blanket with a cooling finger for larger ones (2.7-3.8 L). Agitation is provided with a speed range of 60-1,600 rpm or 25-1,250 rpm, depending on the vessel. Key operational features include integrated digital sensor technology for pH and dissolved oxygen (supporting ISM® and ARC® sensors), variable-speed pumps for precise liquid addition, and thermal mass flow controllers for flexible gas mixing of air, nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. The unit utilizes the VisioNize-onboard touchscreen interface for process control and is designed with a compact footprint, requiring approximately 15-30 cm of bench space per vessel. It supports integration into digital lab environments for remote monitoring and is compatible with DASware® control software. The system's modular bay-drawer design allows for future reconfiguration and expansion.
