SCION 8900 Triple Quad (TQ) GC-MS
Manufacturer: SCION Instruments
SKU: SCION TQ-MS (8900)
Description
The SCION 8900 Triple Quadrupole GC-MS is a mass spectrometry system engineered for demanding quantitative analysis. It operates with a mass range from 1 to 1200 Da and is noted for its high-speed data acquisition. The system achieves a scan rate of 30,000 Da per second and can perform up to 1000 MRM transitions per second, facilitating the collection of extensive data points even with brief dwell times as low as 0.5 ms. This performance is suited for laboratories requiring high throughput and sensitivity across various fields, including environmental monitoring, food safety, clinical research, and forensic analysis. The instrument features a lens-free ion path design and an off-axis ion source with active Q0 focusing, which contribute to system robustness and enhanced sensitivity while minimizing maintenance downtime. It is available in configurations supporting electron ionization (EI) only or both EI and chemical ionization (CI). System operation is managed through the Compass TQ software, which handles instrument control, data acquisition, and reporting functions.
