Description

The SA-9600 series from HORIBA Scientific are flowing gas surface area analyzers that utilize the BET method. They are designed for rapid analysis, with measurement times ranging from approximately two to six minutes per sample. The instruments can determine total surface area from 0.1 to 50 m² and specific surface area from about 0.01 to 2000 m²/g. They support both single-point and multi-point measurement modes, with the flowing gas technique enabling high throughput; in single-point mode, up to thirty analyses can be completed in an hour. Applications include comparing single-point and multi-point measurements, analyzing low specific surface area standards, and studying properties of materials like metal powders.
