S-EVAP-KD® 8 Position, 250 mL Solvent Evaporator

Description

This benchtop solvent evaporator from Organomation is configured for processing samples in eight 250 mL Kuderna-Danish flasks. The S-EVAP-KD system employs a rotating water bath and manifold to perform standard KD evaporation procedures, aiming to increase efficiency and save laboratory workspace. The temperature of the water bath can be set between 30°C and 100°C. The apparatus is compatible with glassware setups for collecting solvent either centrally or individually for each flask, with a reported capability to recover as much as 97% of the initial solvent volume, which may enhance laboratory safety and minimize emissions. Its compact, circular design rotates, allowing every sample to be reached from the front of the unit. The use of specially designed, lower-profile glassware enables the system to fit within typical fume hoods. Installation involves a single water supply connection and one drain line. According to the manufacturer, the gentle heating provided by the water bath, as opposed to jacketed heating tubes, along with vacuum-insulated concentrator tubes, helps safeguard sensitive samples during evaporation.
