Rugged Rotators

Description

The Glas-Col Rugged Rotators are laboratory mixing devices designed for rotational agitation of samples. These units feature a variable speed control, allowing the user to select a rotational rate between 2 and 83 rpm, which can accommodate a range of mixing intensities from gentle to vigorous. Powered by a continuous-duty motor, the rotator is built for extended operational use. A distinctive clamping mechanism uses leverage to securely lock the motor in the desired position, facilitating easy adjustment of the mixing angle. Changing between different attachment heads requires only a single thumbscrew. The design keeps sample containers visible during operation. The unit has a compact, stable base capable of supporting loads up to 5 pounds. A separate speed control module, connected by a cord, can be positioned remotely from the main unit. This feature allows the rotator body to be placed inside environments like constant-temperature ovens or fume hoods while the control electronics remain outside, protecting them from high temperatures or corrosive atmospheres. It also improves safety by eliminating the need to reach around a rotating load to operate the controls. The system is supplied with a test tube head.
