Manufacturer: Organomation
SKU: 13070 / 13090
Description
Organomation's ROT-X-TRACT-S is a rotary benchtop system designed for Soxhlet extraction, a technique used to separate soluble compounds from solid matrices using an organic solvent. The instrument employs a gentle steam-heated water bath (40-100°C) to heat the solvent. Two primary models are available: catalog number 13070, which holds up to eight 250 mL Soxhlet extractors and features a mechanical thermostat, and catalog number 13090, which accommodates up to ten 250 mL extractors and includes a digital side control box for setting temperature and time. The system's construction consists of a base and stand assembly positioned within a shallow stainless steel bath. Standard glassware includes a round boiling flask, cover disk, Soxhlet extractors, and Allihn condensers. A notable design aspect is the circular arrangement of the samples, which minimizes the instrument's footprint on the lab bench. The entire unit can be rotated, allowing the operator to reach every sample from a single frontal position. System plumbing is consolidated, requiring only one incoming water supply line and one drain line.
