RoboLector Platform

Manufacturer: Beckman Coulter Life Sciences

SKU: RoboLector

Description

The RoboLector platform, offered by Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, is an automated system for microbial cultivation and process development. It integrates a robotic liquid handler with the online monitoring capabilities of a microbioreactor system, enabling parallel processing of up to 48 cultures. The platform autonomously executes complex protocols, including media preparation based on design of experiments (DoE), time- or signal-timed feeding, automated induction, and pH adjustments. Process parameters like biomass, dissolved oxygen, pH, and fluorescence can be monitored in real-time and used to trigger automated interventions. Applications include high-throughput protein expression, process characterization, feeding and pH profiling, and automated upstream processing. The system utilizes disposable microbioreactors and is designed for continuous operation, providing detailed process data to support scale-up to laboratory fermenters.
