RamanScopeIII FT-Raman Microscope
Manufacturer: Bruker Optics
SKU: BOPT RamanScopeIII
Description
The RamanScopeIII is an integrated FT-Raman microscope system designed for microanalysis of samples. It is built on a modular platform that supports multiple Raman excitation wavelengths, typically from 532 nm to 1064 nm. The core optical microscope is based on an Olympus BX series frame, providing standard imaging modes such as brightfield, darkfield, polarized light, differential interference contrast (DIC), and fluorescence. A key application is the reduction of fluorescence interference in samples; using 1064 nm near-infrared excitation often minimizes or eliminates sample fluorescence, allowing for clearer Raman spectral acquisition. The system can be coupled to Bruker's FT-Raman modules, such as the RAM II. Detection is handled by sensitive, liquid nitrogen-cooled detectors like Germanium or InGaAs diodes, which offer low noise and high stability for extended measurements. The platform also allows for integration with dispersive Raman spectrometers, enabling a combined analytical approach that leverages the strengths of both Fourier transform and dispersive Raman techniques. This flexibility makes the system applicable in fields such as pharmaceuticals, polymer science, forensics, and materials research where detailed molecular characterization of microscopic sample areas is required.
