Radiation Detector PCE-RD 50
Manufacturer: PCE Americas Inc.
SKU: PCE-RD 50
Description
The PCE-RD 50 is a specialized monitor for measuring indoor radon gas concentration. It employs a semiconductor detector and has a measurement range of 0 to 9999 Bq/m³. The device provides both short-term average values, updated hourly, and long-term average values, calculated over periods up to one year. Data is stored internally but is cleared upon battery replacement or a manual reset. Measurements are shown on a 1.54-inch e-paper display, with units selectable as Bq/m³ or pCi/L. An integrated alarm system uses color-coded indicators on the display: green for concentrations below 100 Bq/m³, yellow for 100-150 Bq/m³, and red for levels above 150 Bq/m³, accompanied by an audible alert. With compact dimensions of 103 x 103 x 33 mm, the monitor can be placed on a surface or mounted on a wall. It is powered by standard AAA batteries, making it suitable for deployment in homes, offices, schools, and other buildings for long-term radon exposure assessment.
