Radiation Detector PCE-RAM 3
Manufacturer: PCE Americas Inc.
SKU: PCE-RAM 3
Description
The PCE-RAM 3 is a portable radiation detection instrument designed to measure gamma, beta, and X-ray radiation. It utilizes a Geiger-Müller counter tube for detection, with a measurement range of 0 to 10 mSv/h for dose rate. The device features a 2.3-inch multifunctional display that presents real-time data in both numerical and graphical formats, alongside calculated values for cumulative dose, average dose, and maximum dose. Two independent alarm functions are included: one for instantaneous dose rate (adjustable from 0 to 100 µSv/h) and another for cumulative dose (adjustable from 0 to 100 mSv). Each alarm can trigger visual, audible, and vibration alerts. The detector operates within an energy range of 48 to 1500 keV. It is powered by an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charged via a micro USB port, and includes a battery level indicator. Display brightness is adjustable for various lighting conditions. Typical applications include environmental monitoring, industrial safety checks, laboratory research, medical facility surveys, and emergency response scenarios where monitoring ionizing radiation levels is necessary.
