Description

The Radian ASAP from TA Instruments is a direct analysis system that combines a single quadrupole mass spectrometer with an Atmospheric Pressure Solids Analysis Probe (ASAP). It is designed for the rapid characterization of both liquid and solid samples with minimal preparation. The system enables users to obtain mass spectral data directly from samples introduced on a glass probe, eliminating the need for chromatographic separation. This approach reduces solvent use and simplifies workflow. Analysis and return to a ready state can be completed in as little as 30 seconds, allowing for real-time sample assessment. Applications include spectral library matching, checking authenticity and adulteration, reaction monitoring, degradation studies, and quality control. The accompanying software is designed to streamline operation and minimize training requirements.
