QuStick™ : Early diagnosis of Strep A infection

Description

QuStick Strep A is a qualitative diagnostic test kit from EKF Diagnostics for the rapid detection of Group A Streptococcal antigen from throat swab specimens. The assay format is a dipstick, and it provides a result within five minutes. The kit is noted for enhanced sensitivity, requiring fewer bacterial colonies to generate a positive result compared to some other rapid tests, which may allow for earlier diagnosis. Each kit contains individually pouched test strips, necessary reagents (A and B), external positive and negative controls, polyester throat swabs, extraction tubes, and an illustrated instruction guide. The test is CLIA-waived, indicating it is suitable for use in moderately complex settings, and has a shelf life of 20 months when stored appropriately.
