qTOWER iris Series

Description

The qTOWER iris Series is a real-time PCR system from Analytik Jena designed as an open platform, offering flexibility in consumable and assay selection. It is available in formats accommodating either 96 or 384 samples per run. The thermal block provides precise temperature control from 4 °C to 99 °C, with a reported uniformity of ±0.15 °C across all wells to minimize edge effects. A heated lid operates between 30 °C and 110 °C. A key feature is the Linear Gradient Tool, which allows for testing multiple annealing or extension temperatures simultaneously within a single run, with a gradient span of up to 40°C for the 96-well block. For optical detection, the system employs a seven-chip multi-color LED light source. Signal collection is performed via a fiber optic system that reads each well from a consistent angle. This instrument supports multiplex detection of up to six different targets in a single reaction.
