The Q Direct Pure water system, manufactured by RephiLe Bioscience, is a point-of-use purification unit that produces ultrapure water from a feed of pure water. It is capable of generating up to 2 liters per minute. The system employs a purification method based on double ion-exchange cartridges followed by a final filter. It is designed for a variety of laboratory applications, including the preparation of HPLC mobile phases, GC/HPLC/ICP-MS sample diluents, reagent blanks, cell culture buffers, and molecular biology reagents. Operational features include a 2.4-inch touchscreen interface supporting multiple languages for monitoring and control, offering both manual and volumetric dispensing modes. The system incorporates an hourly automatic recirculation function to maintain water quality. Consumable cartridges are designed for tool-free replacement via a magnetic front panel. Safety and monitoring features include leak detection with automatic shutdown and predictive tracking of cartridge life. The unit has a compact footprint, measuring 414 mm wide, 310 mm deep, and 624 mm high. Data traceability is supported for two years, with export capabilities via LAN or USB.
