Description

The Agilent ProteoAnalyzer System is a capillary electrophoresis instrument designed for automated protein analysis. It performs CE-SDS separations on both reduced and non-reduced protein samples, processing up to 12 samples in parallel within approximately 30 minutes. This system aims to streamline workflows by removing the need for traditional SDS-PAGE gel preparation, staining, and destaining procedures. It accommodates a broad protein sizing range, typically from 10 to 240 kDa, enabling the analysis of diverse sample types including monoclonal antibodies, biosimilars, purified protein fractions, and crude lysates. Individual capillaries are regenerated between each separation to maintain performance and consistency. Key operational features include a linear dynamic range for BSA samples from 2 to 2,000 ng/µL, detection sensitivity down to approximately 1 ng/µL, and the ability to resolve glycosylated isoforms. The instrument allows for flexible sample queue management and permits users to prepare subsequent runs while a separation is in progress. Reagents are room-temperature stable, and the system does not require daily capillary array handling. Its compact dimensions are 36 cm wide by 51 cm deep by 61 cm high.
