Description

The Protean Configurable Lab Automation Workcell from Hudson Lab Automation is a modular robotic system designed for laboratory automation and high-throughput screening applications. Its core component is a robotic arm with an extended vertical reach, enabling access to instruments and labware across multiple tiers within the enclosure. The system's structure can be configured to accommodate various instruments and devices across up to nine levels of workspace. A standard configuration may include microplate stacks and a barcode reader. An optional storage carousel can be added to provide robotic access to a large inventory of microplates, tip boxes, and liquid reservoirs. The workcell is built to offer flexibility, allowing its layout and components to be adapted as experimental workflows change.
