Carver Inc.'s Proppant Crush Test Laboratory Presses are hydraulic presses engineered to evaluate the compressive strength of proppant materials, such as frac sand, resin-coated sand, and ceramic proppants, in accordance with standardized test methods like ISO 13503-2. Available in models offering clamp forces from 2 to 40 tons, these systems are designed to apply pressure at a controlled, constant rate. The presses feature fully guided, hardened platens to maintain parallelism during testing and include a positive stop mechanism for centering the standard crush die. A self-contained hydraulic system powers the unit, which is operated via a programmable control interface with a touch screen. This interface allows for the setup of press parameters, real-time monitoring of force, and storage of testing recipes. Standard safety features include polycarbonate guards with interlocked access gates.
