Description
The Process Guardian is a Raman spectrometer engineered for continuous, in-line process monitoring and analysis. It is built within a ruggedized, standalone housing designed for reliable operation in industrial environments. The system utilizes a 785 nm laser excitation source and covers a spectral range from 200 cm⁻¹ to 3300 cm⁻¹. A core component of its design is the incorporation of High Throughput Virtual Slit (HTVS) technology, which is reported to significantly increase photon throughput for faster and more sensitive measurements. This enables rapid, in-situ analysis of chemical compositions, often delivering results within seconds. The spectrometer includes an embedded processor for onboard data handling and supports communication via industrial protocols like OPC UA and Modbus TCP. It is designed for self-monitoring, providing status updates and alarms to remote clients, and supports various probe options to accommodate a wide range of application scenarios, including the identification and quantification of components in complex mixtures.
