Polypropylene Vertical Airflow Fume Hoods

Description

LabAire Systems' LAS-3000 is a vertical airflow fume hood constructed entirely from polypropylene, making it suitable for use in corrosive laboratory environments. It is designed to provide protection for both the user and the materials being handled by containing and exhausting hazardous fumes and particulates. The hood utilizes HEPA or ULPA filtration to ensure a clean workspace. Available in a range of standard widths (36, 48, 60, 72, and 96 inches) and with depth options of 24 or 30 inches, the hood can be mounted on compatible polypropylene casework such as base cabinets or carts. The work surface is a removable, perforated polypropylene panel that includes spill containment. Interior lighting is supplied by sealed LEDs, providing 100 foot-candles of illumination. User access is through a counterbalanced sash made of clear polycarbonate or PVC, which is reinforced with Kevlar banding. The exhaust system includes a rectangle-to-round connection. Electrical components are housed in an all-plastic junction box with encased wiring, supporting 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz power, with optional GFCI outlets. Other features include separate blower and light switches, a solid-state motor controller, a flush-mounted plumbing access panel, a large pre-filter, and a minihelic gauge for monitoring airflow.
