Description

The LAS-2000 Horizontal Airflow Clean Bench from LabAire Systems is a benchtop unit constructed from polypropylene to provide a corrosion-resistant workspace. It delivers Class 100 laminar airflow using HEPA or ULPA filtration, designed to protect sensitive materials and processes from particulate contamination. Common applications include pipetting, pharmaceutical preparation, microscopy, and the handling of critical laboratory instrumentation. The cabinet is available in multiple widths, including 36, 48, 60, 72, and 96 inches, with a standard depth of 30 inches. Its interior is illuminated by sealed LED lighting, providing an illumination level of 100 foot-candles. User access is facilitated by a counterbalanced sash made from clear polycarbonate or PVC, reinforced with Kevlar banding. Operational controls include separate switches for the blower and lights. Electrical options accommodate 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz systems, with GFCI outlets available. All wiring is encased within an all-plastic junction box for safety. The design incorporates a large pre-filter, a flush-mounted plumbing access panel, and a minihelic gauge for monitoring airflow pressure. The primary construction materials are flame-retardant polypropylene or PVDF, meeting UL94VO and FM4910 standards. The unit can be mounted on a variety of compatible polypropylene casework, such as base cabinets, tables, or carts.
