Description

This fume hood from TopAir Systems incorporates a built-in wet scrubbing system to neutralize and capture acid mists and chemical vapors before exhaust. The scrubbing process involves spray nozzles that distribute a liquid medium, a packed bed of scrubbing media to collect contaminants, and an upper mist eliminator to prevent droplets from reaching the exhaust fan. Collected materials are channeled to a integrated water tank. The primary housing is fabricated from 8mm welded polypropylene, offering excellent resistance to corrosive substances like acids and organic solvents. Available in widths ranging from 1200mm to 2500mm (approx. 47 to 98 inches), the hood is CE certified for use with heavy chemicals. It includes a standard polypropylene worktop, a counterbalanced 5mm safety glass sash, and a vented polypropylene base cabinet. Airflow is drawn from both the top and rear. Basic operation is managed through a 7-inch touchscreen, with optional advanced control systems for airflow monitoring (AFA), automatic velocity control (VAV), or energy-saving active sash management. Other features include 800 lux sealed LED lighting and options for accessories like sinks, taps, or a pH-controlled dosing system.
